04/07/08 - Hutcheson's Whisky Shop is opeing in Alton, Hampshire 9th August 2008

A unique and specialist shop stocking the finest malt whiskies alongside boutique cognacs and armagnacs.

A dedicated meeting and room for approximately 25 people will be available for private hire.

04/07/08 - Alton Food Festival 12th July, Hutcheson Whisky Events will be promoting and selling fine malts at 'The Alton Food Festival' next Saturday 12th July

28/05/08 - NEW WHISKY SHOP opening soon in Alton, Hampshire

Hutcheson Whisky Events is pleased to announce the opening of our first high street retail shop in Alton this summer.

The opening date is to be advised soon, but is expected end of July, or early August.

This new venture will incorporate Hutcheson Whiskies main office and distribution centre, a dedicated tasting room for hire and a whisky selection of approximately 200-300 bottlings. In addition to whiskies the shop will also stock whisky related confectionery, marmalades, glassware and other gifts.

The range of spirits will be expanded to include fine cognac and armagnac along with other select sprits.

27/05/08 - Thames Boat Show - Hutcheson Whiskies will be attedning The Thames Boat Show at Beale Park, Reading 6th & 7th of June 2008. You can taste and purchase fine malt whiskies in the Prodcut & Craft tent on these two days.

Note: Unfortunately Hutcheson Whiskies will not be there on the last day Sunday 8th June!

28/04/08 - Royal Windsor Horse Show - 8th May -11th May 2008 is the Royal Windsor Horse Show where Hutcheson Whisky Events will have a malt whisky stand within the 'Food & Drinks Pavilion' where fine malts will be available for tasting and purchase at this event. 20/02/08 - Brewery on board! - HWE is very pleased to announce the addition of The Triple FFF Brewing Company to our list of Whisky Centres. This award winning 'real-ale' brewer from Hampshire will be stocking our fine malts in their 'Brewery Shop' along ieth the 1488 Whisky Ale.

In addition to the Brewery, the Triple FFF pubs  - 'The White Lion' in Aldershot and 'The Railway Arms' in Alton will also become Whisky Centres. Keep an eye our for the fothcoming links!

10/12/07 - Whisky Wedding Favours / Corporate Branding - Hutcheson Whisky Events can now offer 5cl miniatures or 70c full bottles with fully bespoked labeling and images. These are available with no minimum ordering for use as Wedding Favours, corporate gifts or for that special occasion where you are looking to impress. The whisky is vatted malt whisky, although other spritits and wines can also be supplied.

06/12/07 - High Fashion meets High Spirits - The new Principles ladies boutique in Woking experienced the ultimate in customer service last month with wine, chocolates and single cask malt whiskies in-store for the 20% sale and Christmas party. A nice distraction for the gentlemen as the ladies looked around for that essential party dress.

28/11/07 - Malt Whisky at Principles in Woking - By way of a departure from the typical venues where you would experience fine malt whisky, Hutcheson Whisky Events is promoting single cask whiskies 'in-store' at the new Principles boutique in the Woking Shopping Centre Thursday 29th November form 3.30pm till 5pm. This part of their lead-up towards Christmas promotions.

A kilted Bill Hutcheson will be offering a dram or two as part of the perfect shopping experience.

09/10/07 - New date for Farnham tasting! - The new date for the tasting at The Wheatsheat in Farnham is Sunday 21st October, starting at 5pm,

Purchase your tickets via 'The Wheatsheaf' or the 'Hutcheson Web Shop'. Tickets are £25 and include 5 quality malts and a meal of Haggis, neeps and tatties.

08/10/07 - Farnham tasting postponed! - The tasting planned for the 13th October at The Wheatsheaf, Farnham has been postponed due to prominent Rugby and Football fixtures that day.

A new date is being fixed and will be notified very soon

02/10/07 - Glenrothes Tasting CANCELLED! - It is with great disappointment that I have announce that the planned tasting on the 10th October 2007 is cancelled due to unforseen circumstances.

This event will be re-scheduled however in the new year.

20/09/07 - Glenrothes Whisky matching with Food, - The Wine Circle in Virgina Water are hosting a presentation of 'The Glenrothes' on the 10th October at 7.30pm.

The Glenrothes is one of the finest Speyside whiskies there is and Ronnie Cox, Glenrothes Managing Director, is personally conducting this vertical tasting though there current vintages.

12/09/07 - Whisky Tasting in Farnham!, Saturday 13th October is 'Malt Whisky Tasting night' at The Wheatsheaf, West Street in Farnham. Starting at 6pm, a tutored tasting will be presented by Bill Hutcheson running through 5 fantastic malts. The price is £25 per person and includes 'Haggis, Neeps & Tatties'.

20/08/07 - Another new 'Whisky Centre' established! , The Half Moon public house in Windlesham has just become the latest Hutcheson Malt Whisky Centre. A great village pub with a good reputation for its food and ales, and now, malt whiskies.

10/08/07 - The Henley Show 8th September, Hutcheson Whisky Events will be offering fine malt whisky at 'The Henley Show' this year in the 'Food & Wine' tent. Come along for a look! @ Greenlands Farm, Hambledon Nr Henley on Thames RG9 3AS. Other attractions include; crafts, livestock, pets, vintage tractors, classic cars, trade stands and many other countryside offerings.

03/07/07 - Alton Food Festival & Farmers Market July 14th, More info - As the weather is about to improve its time you took your family out for the day!

Therefore why not attend the Alton Food Festival and Farmers Market  - not this Saturday but the one after. By happy coincidence Hutcheson Whisky Events will have a stand at this event – ALL DAY!.

You will be able to sample, but more importantly, buy the finest malt whisky in the South of England. Not only that – but also, my new Whisky Ale will be available.

Once you have visited the whisky stand you can enjoy cookery demonstrations by leading local chefs, and then buy your ingredients from the Farmers Market. Amazingly there is not only whisky to enjoy, but also cheese, ice cream, chocolate, wine, cider, beer & local crafts.

19/06/07 - Alton Food Festival & Farmers Market, Saturday 14th July 2007 is the day to be in Alton (Hampshire) for the annual food festival. This year however is going to be bigger and better than ever due to a 'Farmers Market' being added on. Hutcheson Whisky Events will be there again this year offering the finest malt whiskies and promoting whisky tasting events. Last year's festival was well attended offering the finest local produce along with cooking demonstrations and other attractions. Hopefully it will be a  bit cooler this year and not the 35% of last year - not much fun under a gazebo with the whisky corks flying of the bottle due to the heat!

11/06/07 - New Whisky Centre added, A new Hutcheson Whisky Centre has just joined us in Virginia Water. The Wine Circle is a high-end wine shop with a restaurant just a few doors away on Station Parade. The malt whiskies taken on-board have been personally selected my Meeghan Murdoch and include The Glenrothes Special Reserve - an especially fine Speyside. Also look out for the 15 year old Bladnoch, a Lowland whisky, unchill-filtered with amazing flavour and aroma. Toffee with some citrus and then a grassy fragance which is very popular when tasted.

11/06/07 - FREE WHISKY, Hutcheson Whisky Events is in the process of expanding the number of Hutcheson Malt Whisky Centres throughout the South of England. We are on the look out for independent minded Pub Landlords, Wine Shop Owners and Hotel Owners who might like to add 'high-end' malt whiskies to their range. To this end, Hutcheson Whisky Events is offering a bottle of malt whisky FREE of charge, up to the value of £40 (incl. VAT), for a successful introduction, defined as - 'The point when the new venue makes their first stock purchase or Tasting Event.'

11/06/07 - Whisky Note, Tullibardine Moscatel Wine Cask Matured, If you're looking for something a bit unusual then this is for you!. Tullibardine is a peppery Highland whisky with a lot of character usualy matured in ex-bourbon casks. However when matured in different casks produces some unexpected results. This expression matured in a Moscatel cask has an interesting dry orange marmalade note which then gets complicated with each taste. The flavour moves to winey ripe plums, some oakiness and then spices almost chilli.
